Badrallach Sunset

At the foot of An Teallach lies Little Loch Broom, separated from Loch Broom by Scoraig peninsula is 9.5 miles long, with the mouth of the loch starting at the village of Dundonnell.

The Loch is an important sea bird habitat with cormorants congregating on the rocks which jut out into the water.

At Ardessie Falls the Allt Airdeasaidh flows into the Loch and the Dundonnell river also flows into it.

The impressive An Teallach ridge is formed by ten mountains over 914 metres, with commanding views towards Gruinard Island, Gruinard Bay and Little Loch Broom.

It was a lovely August evening in 2010, whilst sitting out my tent at the small campsite of Badrallach that I took this shot of the sun going down.
